Hello! I’m Carelynn :)

I’m currently studying Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo. I aspire to solve challenging problems and build great products.

In 2021, I worked at Shopify as a Production Engineering Intern on the Platform Conditioning team and as a Backend Developer Intern on the Shopify Balance team.

Previously I also worked at Marketbox, Xero and the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research.

Outside of school, I build and promote tech for social good through UW Blueprint. You can read about one of the Blueprint projects I recently worked on in this article I wrote :).

I love reading fiction, collecting special edition books, hanging out with my bunnies, and playing the guitar in my free time.

I’m currently seeking Summer 2022 internship opportunities in product, program management, and software engineering :)
